Participants will get to work on the latest techniques used in the mining sector and hone their skills. It is open to multiple trades like auto electricians, boilermakers, diesel mechanics, electricians, fitters, instrumentation mechanics, and riggers.
Once selected, the learners will be required to perform the following duties:
- Apply health, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Inspect and report any unsafe behavior in the workplace to the correct authority
- Conduct risk assessment for potential risks and hazards before the commencement of daily tasks
- Take necessary measures to keep the equipment clean and functioning
- Complete theoretical and practical learning on a daily basis
Who should apply?
The eligibility requirements for Seriti Coal Learnership 2022 are:
- A South African citizen
- Holds an N3 Technical Certificate with Pure Mathematics (Mathematical Literacy not eligible) and Physical Science and scored at least 40% in all the subjects OR has passed Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science and achieved at least 40% in both Maths and Science
- Holds a valid driving license
