3. Requirements

  • Education: Appropriate NQF Level 2 qualification or ABET certificate.

  • Skills: * Basic numeracy and literacy.

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Ability to handle confidential information.

  • Knowledge: * Understanding of various cleaning consumables.

    • Operation of cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, polishers, etc.).

    • Basic understanding of Health and Safety requirements and the correct use of cleaning chemicals.


4. Key Duties

  • Maintain general cleanliness of offices, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms.

  • Dust and wax furniture; sweep, scrub, and wax floors.

  • Vacuum carpets and clean windows and walls.

  • Daily removal of waste inside and outside the building.

  • Clean and tidy toilets; replenish toilet rolls, soap, and air fresheners.

  • Wash crockery and cutlery.

  • Report broken equipment (e.g., microwaves or vacuum cleaners) to supervisors.
