Role Overview
As a General Worker for Africa's largest FMCG manufacturer, you are a critical link in the food security chain. The role involves working in a high-volume, high-speed manufacturing environment handling household brands like All Gold, Koo, and Albany.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Manual Labor: Stacking and palletizing finished goods; handling loads up to 25kg.
Quality Control: Acts as the "last line of defense" by spotting crooked labels, broken seals, or damaged packaging before products leave the plant.
Documentation: Completing quality check sheets and production logs to ensure batch standards are met.
Safety & Housekeeping: Adhering to strict Food Safety Policies (HACCP/ISO); maintaining a "clean as you go" workspace to prevent contamination and injury.
Compliance: Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hairnets, safety boots, and high-visibility vests.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Matric (Grade 12) / National Senior Certificate (required for literacy and numeracy to follow safety signs and production logs).
Physical Fitness: Must be medically fit and capable of standing for the duration of a shift and performing heavy lifting.
Flexibility: Must be willing to work Continental Shifts, which include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Attributes: Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work at the pace of automated machinery.
