Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Compliance: Support the rollout of the SHE strategy and management system; check equipment against legal requirements and internal standards.
Advisory: Advise supervisors and employees on safety, health, and environmental topics.
Analysis: Use SHE tools for root cause analysis of deviations and develop corrective actions.
Reporting: Assist with annual reporting and classify hazardous materials based on safety risks.
Risk Assessment: Contribute to risk assessments and aspect registers.
Culture: Drive and improve a SHE mindset and culture within the plant.
Requirements
Education: * Matric certificate.
National Diploma or B-Tech in Environmental Management or Safety Management.
Skills: * Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer literacy (specifically MS Excel).
Completion of a relevant SHE short course is advantageous.
Availability: Willingness to develop in the SHE field and support shift work on occasion.
