merSETA is looking for graduates from a wide range of academic backgrounds to support their technical and administrative functions:

3. Minimum Requirements

4. Key Responsibilities

Interns at merSETA assist in the administration of the national skills development mandate:

  • Skills Development Support: Assisting with the processing of grants (Mandatory and Discretionary) and monitoring apprenticeship programmes.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Engaging with companies in the manufacturing and engineering sectors regarding workplace-based learning.

  • Administration: Capturing data on the SETA Management System (SMS) and ensuring all documentation for learner registrations is compliant.

  • Project Monitoring: Assisting with site visits to ensure that training providers meet the required quality assurance standards.

  • Research & Reporting: Contributing to the collection of data for the Sector Skills Plan (SSP).
