Purpose of the Programme

• Provide unemployed youth with structured training and retail work experience.

• Develop skills in checkout operations, customer service, and retail operations.

Minimum Requirements

• South African citizenship

• Age between 18 and 29 years

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate

• Unemployed and not registered on another learnership or skills programme

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Teamwork and willingness to learn

• Advantage: prior exposure to retail, customer service, or cash handling

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in classroom learning sessions

• Complete on‑the‑job training in a Clicks store

• Operate checkout systems and serve customers

• Work as part of the store team to meet daily operational requirements

• Apply communication and interpersonal skills in a retail environment

• Fulfil programme requirements to achieve the NQF 2 qualification
