Responsibilities

• Safety & Environment – follow health and safety requirements, maintain housekeeping standards

• Maintenance Efficiency – execute plant/equipment maintenance tasks per SMP (Standard Maintenance Practice)

• Equipment Maintenance – remove/replace worn plates, maintain tools and toolboxes, ensure proper handovers

• Assistance – support artisans with grease bulkers, diesel nozzles, pipes, and machinery upkeep

• Pre-shift Inspections – check vehicles, machines, and components for safety and functionality

Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 / N3 Technical

• Licence: Valid South African driver’s licence

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Safety standards in maintenance environments

  • Vehicle/equipment components and functionality

  • Ability to interpret component drawings, blueprints, and shop manuals

  • Knowledge of manufacturer standards and company maintenance policies
