Purpose of the Role
Support mechanical maintenance teams with effective equipment assistance
Ensure plant reliability through inspections and repairs
Adhere to safety standards and procedures
Provide feedback to supervisors and RCA teams
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Apply and maintain safety in working environment
Participate in root cause analyses (RCA) and toolbox talks
Carry out work according to planning and deadlines
Provide feedback on work progress to supervisors and customers
Maintain housekeeping and waste disposal standards
Identify faults using applicable methods to ensure equipment availability
Perform plant inspections and repairs to improve sustainability
Conduct My IMS inspections and capture correct history feedback
Attend training courses and seminars to improve competency
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Matric/N3 with Mathematics, English & Physical Science
CHIETA NQF Level 2: Mechanical (Essential)
CHIETA NQF Level 4 (Advantageous)
Experience:
Minimum 1 year relevant mechanical maintenance experience
Other:
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to attend training and development programmes
