Minimum Requirements
- Technical Senior Certificate or similar technical qualification.
- N2 or N3 technical qualification may be considered.
- Valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver's licence (compulsory).
- 1 to 3 years relevant experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance environments.
Experience Preferred
- Approximately 70% electrical experience and 30% mechanical experience.
- Poultry industry experience is advantageous.
Required Skills
- Electrical maintenance (single-phase and three-phase systems)
- Welding and boilermaking
- Mechanical fitting
- PVC, plastic and pipe joining
- Plumbing and water systems maintenance
- General building and equipment repairs
Main Duties
- Inspect, maintain and repair agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing and civil maintenance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and daily inspections.
- Repair buildings, water systems and drainage infrastructure.
- Complete maintenance and breakdown job cards.
- Assist with supervision and training of Maintenance Assistants.
- Participate in planned maintenance activities.
- Be available for standby duties when required.
