Role Overview

South Rand Hospital is looking for five motivated individuals to provide essential cleaning services. The role is critical for maintaining hygiene standards, supporting the Ideal Hospital Framework, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning Services: Clean wards, offices, corridors, boardrooms, floors, walls, windows, doors, kitchens, and restrooms.

  • Maintenance: Maintain cleaning materials and promptly report any broken equipment.

  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with the Ideal Hospital Framework, Batho Pele principles, Patient Rights, and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards.

  • Safety & Quality: Contribute to the management of complaints and patient safety incidents.

  • Operational: Work shifts as required by the hospital's operational needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 10 / AET Level 5 to Grade 12 certificate (School report must have the school stamp and log).

  • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in a hospital environment.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Batho Pele Principles, Patient Rights, and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.

  • Skills: Good customer service skills; ability to read, write, and work effectively in a team.

  • Motivation: Must be self-driven and motivated.
