2. Minimum Requirements

  • Education: A completed Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., BA or B.Ed) with English as a major subject.

  • Professional Qualification: A Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) if your degree is not a B.Ed.

  • SACE Registration: Must be currently registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) and have a valid registration number.

  • Experience: Previous experience teaching English to Grades 8 – 12 within the IEB (Independent Examinations Board) or CAPS curriculum is highly advantageous.

  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using Educational Technology (Google Classroom, MS Teams, or interactive whiteboards) for blended learning.

  • Vetting: A clean criminal record and a valid clearance on the National Register for Sex Offenders.
