5. How to Apply

KPMG uses a digital recruitment process that prioritizes efficiency and candidate experience.

  1. Online Portal: Visit the KPMG South Africa Careers Page.

  2. Application: The online form takes about five minutes. You only need to submit one application to be considered for multiple roles.

  3. Required Documents: * Updated CV (keep it under two pages).

    • Full Academic Transcripts (Matric through to current University year).

    • Certified copy of your ID.

  4. Assessments: If eligible, you will receive links to two online tests: a cognitive abilities test and a values/leadership alignment test.

6. Important Advice for 2026

  • Rolling Intake: Even if the "main" intake has passed, KPMG often has "rolling" vacancies as new projects begin. Apply immediately to be in their talent pool.

  • No Cover Letter: KPMG explicitly states there is no need for a cover letter in their 5-minute application process. Focus your energy on making your CV and transcripts stand out.

  • The "Dover" or Assessment Prep: Practice your logical reasoning and numerical skills. These assessments are the first "filter" in the process.

  • Bursary Link: If you are a CA student, you must first apply for a Training Contract before you can apply for a KPMG Bursary.

7. Why Join KPMG?

  • Permanent Status: Most streams (excluding specific training contracts) hire you as a permanent staff member, providing immediate job security.

  • Global Secondments: After qualifying or reaching a certain level, you can apply to work in KPMG offices in London, New York, or Sydney.

  • Social & Diversity Networks: KPMG has strong internal networks for women, the LGBTQ+ community (Trans and gender-diverse applicants are highly encouraged), and various social clubs.

  • Lifelong Learning: You gain access to world-class learning platforms and certifications that remain valuable throughout your entire career.

Tip: In your interview, don't just talk about your grades. KPMG values "The Person," so highlight your hobbies, volunteer work, or any leadership roles you've held. They want to see that you can build relationships, not just crunch numbers!
