2. Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for the 2026 programme, you must meet these strict criteria:
Education: Grade 12 (Matric) with a pass in:
Mathematics (Minimum 50% / Level 4) OR Maths Literacy (Minimum 60% / Level 5).
English (Minimum 50% / Level 4).
Citizenship: South African citizens only.
Status: Unemployed youth (under 35).
SAPC Registration: Must be eligible to register with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
3. Key Responsibilities
As a Learner, you will work under the direct supervision of a Tutor (Pharmacist) to perform:
Stock Management: Receiving, checking, and unpacking pharmaceutical stock.
Dispensing Support: Assisting with the labeling and assembly of medication.
Housekeeping: Ensuring the dispensary is clean and organized according to GPP (Good Pharmacy Practice) standards.
Customer Service: Assisting customers with over-the-counter (OTC) products and health-related inquiries.
Admin: Completing your theoretical assignments and maintaining your "Portfolio of Evidence" (PoE) for the SAPC.
