Minimum Requirements

A completed BEng, BSc, or BTech in Civil Engineering from a recognized, accredited South African tertiary institution.
Strong academic record with clean performance tracking metrics across core engineering modules (structural analysis, hydraulics, transportation, or geotechnical engineering).
Sound foundational knowledge of engineering design software parameters and computational modeling interfaces (such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or relevant finite-element simulation tools).
Excellent analytical, structural problem-solving, and numerical logic capabilities.
Clear verbal and written communication skills in English for drafting technical reports and collaborating across multidisciplinary project frameworks.
A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to manage complex project parameters under senior engineering mentorship.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Exposure
Graduates work directly under professionally registered engineers (Pr Eng), gaining critical practical experience toward ECSA registration:
Assisting with the structural and hydraulic design calculation arrays for massive infrastructure projects, including water networks, transportation corridors, and structural foundations.
Utilizing specialized engineering software tools to build structural models, analyze stress parameters, and execute spatial layout optimizations.
Compiling precise technical reports, engineering design data logs, drawings, and tender specification frameworks under direct supervision.
Participating in active design review loops, project synchronization meetings, and cross-disciplinary workflow tracking.
Conducting data collection, field data analysis, and cross-referencing design values against local regulatory construction standards.
Observing occupational health, safety, and environmental protection guidelines across all engineering design executions.
