General Minimum Requirements
Unemployed South African graduate youth between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
A completed, recognized 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (360 credits) from a registered tertiary institution in a specified field.
No prior formal workplace experience completed within the field of study (aimed at first-time work seekers).
Clear criminal record (shortlisted candidates will undergo mandatory security screening, background tracking, fingerprint verification, and vetting).
Excellent communication, administrative discipline, and a high level of computer literacy.

Available Internship Fields & Specific Qualifications
1. Information Technology (IT)
Requirements: National Diploma or BTech / Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Software Engineering.

2. Supply Chain Management & Logistics
Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Purchasing Management / Acquisition Management.
Location Examples: Head Office (HO 2026/06/07), Kroonstad Training College (KSC 2026/06/11), Zonderwater Training College (ZWC 2026/06/14).
3. Correctional Service Management / Penology
Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Correctional Services Management / Correctional Sciences / Penology / Criminology / Security Management.
Location Examples: Head Office (HO 2026/06/09), Free State & Northern Cape Region (FS/NC 2026/06/50).
4. Finance, Internal Audit & Accounting
Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Financial Management / Accounting / Internal Auditing.

5. Specialist Health & Social Sciences
Psychology: Master’s / Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (Head Office Ref: HO 2026/06/04).
Social Work: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (Head Office Ref: HO 2026/06/05).
6. Core Operational & Support Sectors
Built Environment: Degree / Diploma in Architecture, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying (Ref: HO 2026/06/01).
Legal Services: LLB Degree (Ref: HO 2026/06/02).
Theology: National Diploma or Degree in Theological Studies (Head Office Ref: HO 2026/06/08, Kroonstad Ref: KSC 2026/06/12).
Key Responsibilities & Learning Exposure
Undergoing intensive workspace mentoring under experienced public service administrators and field specialists.
Capturing operational records, updating data arrays, and supporting departmental tracking databases.
Contributing to procedural compliance, auditing documentation, and supporting regional facility asset logs.
Compiling monthly administrative reports, organizing site-level logistics, and handling professional correspondence.
