This Data Capturer role is important because accurate health data helps the Department of Health plan services, monitor performance, and improve patient care. The successful applicant will work with health information, reports, and digital systems such as Excel databases and Web-DHIS.

Minimum Requirements

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable and timely reporting of health information. This includes working with National Tertiary Services Grant information, Web-DHIS reports, and monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
Main duties include:
- Capturing quality client data on computer systems, including Excel databases and Web-DHIS
- Generating monthly and quarterly reports
- Compiling summaries of activities on DHIS
- Compiling monthly mother and child health data
- Improving data quality through training and feedback
- Validating data by comparing DHIS information with monthly summaries
- Implementing standard operating procedures to improve data completeness
- Performing data reconciliation with all reporting units
- Collecting, collating, and analysing data
- Verifying submitted data with source documents on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Supporting ward admin clerks to comply with DHMIS policy requirements
- Ensuring weekly sign-offs are completed by the operational manager
- Providing training on data elements and performance indicators
- Assisting with administrative functions and information management development
