Minimum Requirements

To enter the high-standard global hospitality and operations network of MSC Cruises, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
A completed Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with a functional pass.
Unemployed South African youth between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with absolute fluency in spoken and written English (the international maritime language).
High personal hygiene, professional grooming standards, and a welcoming customer-centric attitude.
Adaptable mindset with the physical stamina and emotional resilience to work long hours in a fast-paced environment.
South African citizen with a valid Passport OR the immediate ability to apply for one, and a completely clear criminal record (strict international maritime vetting applies).
Advantageous: Prior basic certificates or entry-level experience in hospitality, catering, tourism, customer service, or technical maritime operations.

Hospitality Track: Learning high-end food and beverage service protocols, guest relations management, front-desk administrative logistics, and housekeeping operations.
Maritime Operations Track: Mastering basic safety induction training, crowd management parameters, survival craft operations, and onboard safety tracking systems.
Deck & Logistics Support: Assisting with asset inventory control, checking delivery manifests, and ensuring precision cleaning of customer-facing environments.
Compliance Tracking: Adhering strictly to international maritime regulations, environmental protection codes, and standard operating health procedures.
