Minimum Requirements
To enter the secure and high-precision logistics network of RAM Couriers, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
A completed Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
Basic computer literacy and fundamental numerical accuracy for dealing with parcel counts, tracking arrays, and scanning software.
Excellent communication skills (ability to read, write, and speak fluent English for logistics logging and manifest verifications).
High level of personal responsibility, honesty, and attention to detail (RAM specializes in high-value cargo transport).
South African citizen aged 18 to 35 with a completely clear criminal record (strict background screening tracking applies).
Advantageous: Prior experience or interest in warehouse management, supply chain networks, or fleet tracking operations.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Exposure
Learners are rotated through critical nodes of a highly secure distribution grid to master modern courier operations:
Operating specialized handheld scanning devices to register parcel barcodes into the central tracking system at check-in bays.
Sorting, route-allocating, and loading high-value cargo containers into distribution vehicles according to strict manifest arrays.
Verifying delivery documentation, proof-of-delivery (POD) logs, and handling administrative cross-referencing to prevent distribution errors.
Assisting the warehousing team with regular inventory cycle counts, stock placements, and yard logistics.
Adhering strictly to standard operating procedures, multi-layered security protocols, and health and safety regulations.
