Minimum Requirements
To secure a spot within the fast-paced, high-precision after-sales administrative ecosystem of an established automotive dealership, candidates must meet the following criteria:
A completed Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
Highly Advantageous: A valid Warranty Clerk or Administrator certification from Nissan South Africa or a similar leading Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network.
2 to 3 years of direct experience functioning as a Warranty Clerk, Costing Clerk, or Service Advisor inside a franchised motor dealership environment.
Sound computer literacy with high proficiency navigating standard dealership management systems (such as Drive, Automate, or Kerridge) alongside MS Office applications.
Outstanding numerical accuracy and analytical problem-solving skills (mandatory for audit compliance and evaluating repair claims).
Solid understanding of vehicle technical layouts, mechanical components, and standard repair procedures to cross-verify mechanic descriptions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to negotiate claim resolutions with manufacturer technical assessors.
Clear criminal and credit record history (standard Motus group background screening tracking applies).
Key Responsibilities & Learning Exposure
The Warranty Clerk manages the end-to-end lifecycle of technical repair claims, acting as the operational gateway between the workshop floor and the manufacturer:
Reviewing, verifying, and preparing technical job cards, mechanic write-ups, and diagnostic logs to construct airtight warranty applications.
Capturing and submitting claim details electronically into the Nissan OEM warranty database tracking framework within specified time windows.
Monitoring the progress of active submissions, managing work-in-progress (WIP) arrays, and investigating/re-submitting any initially rejected or queried claims.
Interfacing directly with workshop Foremen, Service Advisors, and Technicians to ensure parts replaced under warranty are correctly tagged and stored for auditor tracking.
Compiling and auditing financial transaction records, cross-referencing parts and labor costs against predefined factory flat-rate time parameters.
Ensuring full administrative compliance with national consumer protection laws, manufacturer policy updates, and internal franchise risk guidelines.
