Purpose of the Role

  • Support the Rigging Foreman in mechanical installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and mechanical safety regulations.

  • Deliver efficient rigging and mechanical support to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with infrastructure maintenance across facilities

  • Perform mechanical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs

  • Conduct inspections and safety checks on mechanical systems

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work

  • Support SHEQ compliance and participate in safety meetings

  • Mentor junior artisans and contribute to teamwork

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate

  • Working towards a Trade Test Certificate – Rigger

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in rigging and mechanical maintenance operations

  • Knowledge of Necsa site facilities and mechanical systems (advantageous)
