 Eskom, in partnership with PTM Engineering, has re‑advertised Youth Employment Service (YES) opportunities for 2026. Seven positions are available across multiple power stations, offering unemployed youth the chance to gain workplace experience, mentorship, and a monthly stipend while contributing to South Africa’s energy sector.

Purpose of the Programme

  • Provide unemployed youth with hands‑on training in engineering operations.

  • Develop skills in energy production and technical support.

  • Offer mentorship and structured learning to prepare learners for permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with plant operations and monitoring

  • Support engineering teams with technical tasks

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizenship

  • Age between 18 and 35 years

  • Matric (Grade 12) certificate preferred

  • Must be unemployed and not registered on another learnership

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to commit to the full 12‑month programme
