Position Purpose
The Maintenance Operator assists the dewatering team with pump monitoring, installation, removal, and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping to maintain clean and organised workspaces
Pump maintenance: inspect, repair, refuel, and report defects
Pipe installation: install/remove/repair HDPE pipes
Assist dewatering team with effective pump and pipe utilisation
Safety compliance: follow SHE standards, install safety signs, and dewater pumps
Work area preparation before jobs and clean‑up after completion
Candidate Requirements
Qualification: Grade 12 or equivalent
Training: Basic rigging training
Licences: WA200 FEL licence, Red Permit, Code B driver’s licence
Experience:
Operating mining equipment (Komatsu WA200 Front End Loader)
Basic hand tool use
Familiarity with pump maintenance and safety standards
Knowledge of Sishen North and South Mine procedures
