Eligibility:
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen by birth or naturalization.
- Age: Between 18 and 24 years old (for general enlistment). Age limits may vary for specific fields.

- Fitness: Must pass a physical fitness test and medical examination.
- Criminal Record: Must have no criminal record or pending cases.
- Tattoos: No visible tattoos on legs, lower arms, neck, and face.
