Purpose of the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trainer (Deli) to join our team at Shoprite.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training to the specific divisional portfolio, ensuring effective training delivery to achieve business objectives.

The incumbent will work closely with the L&D team to create suitable training inputs and manage the delivery of content and learning materials specific to the training portfolio.

Job Objectives:

– Deliver training to the specific divisional portfolio
– Ensure effective training delivery to achieve business objectives
– Work closely with the L&D team to create suitable training inputs
– Manage the delivery of content and learning materials specific to the training portfolio

– Evaluate participants to determine if course learning and knowledge transfer was successfully achieved

Qualifications:

– Grade 12, National Senior Certificate (essential)
– NQF4 and above culinary related qualification (essential)
– Registration as assessor with W&R SETA (essential)/ FoodBev SETA for Deli Trainer (essential)

– Registration as moderator with W&R SETA (beneficial)/ FoodBev SETA for Deli Trainer (beneficial)
– Driver’s licence

Experience:

– Experience within the FMCG, retail sector or similar (essential)
– At least 2 years facilitation experience on SETA accredited programmes (essential)
– +2 year experience in a Fresh Training Delivery role rendering a Training delivery to a supermarket environment (essential)

Purpose of the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fruit and Veg Trainer to join our team at Shoprite. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a profitable business model for the fruit and veg department, adhering to all policies and procedures. The incumbent will also conduct fruit and veg and flower and plant training at our fruit and veg training school and stores.

Job Objectives:

– Design a profitable business model and ensure implementation
– Ensure national fruit and veg policy and procedures are implemented and adhered to
– Ensure implementation of and adherence to Food safety and Hygiene procedures and policies
– Efficiently manage the Fruit and Veg training school
– Provide exceptional input regarding maintenance of fruit and veg equipment
– Provide input and suggestions regarding fruit and veg layout and equipment

Qualifications:

Essential:

– Matric or a qualification equivalent to a National Senior Certificate

Desirable:

– Fresh foods qualification
– Accredited facilitator/assessor

Experience:

Essential:

– Minimum 5 years Fruit and Veg experience

Desirable:

– Fresh foods management experience
– Manufacturing experience

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential:

– Business management principles
– Financial management principles

Desirable:

– Cost accounting
– Manufacturing principles
