Purpose of the Role
To ensure comprehensive customer service within the store. The role involves managing stock merchandising, maintaining pricing accuracy, and ensuring high housekeeping standards within a designated area of responsibility to provide a safe and pleasant shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Advise and assist customers with product queries and resolve complaints effectively.
Merchandising: Ensure your area is fully merchandised according to the store layout and planograms. Bulk stock must be merchandised safely.
Housekeeping: Keep aisles free of obstacles and ensure stock is packed immediately after receipt. Maintain cleanliness in staff areas (Canteen/Toilets) as per schedule.
Pricing & Labelling: Ensure correct shelf price labelling within your designated area.
Safety (OHSA): Comply with all health and safety regulations, including using safety gear and reporting any hazards or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Stock Loss Management: Report damaged stock and assist in preventing stock loss.
Minimum Requirements
Education: * Grade 12 (Matric) without related work experience OR
Minimum Grade 10 / NQF 3 with at least 1 year of work-related experience.
Language: Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language of the area.
Legal: Valid South African ID or work permit.
Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations accurately and attention to detail.
Flexibility: Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
