Role Overview
The hospital is seeking two Enrolled Nursing Assistants to provide elementary nursing care. These roles involve assisting patients with daily living activities and supporting medical procedures. The positions require individuals with a passion for patient care and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care: Assist patients with hygiene, nutrition, and sleep; measure and record vital signs accurately.
Clinical Support: Prepare patients for diagnostic, surgical, and other medical procedures; escort patients for clinical procedures.
Health Education: Participate in health education groups and team programs as delegated.
Compliance & Professionalism: Maintain professional conduct as per SANC and Public Service codes; participate in hospital committees and attend in-service training.
Reporting: Accurately report and record nursing activities as per prescriptions.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
Professional Registration: Qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant (Enrolled Nursing Assistant).
Experience: Previous psychiatric experience is an added advantage.
Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of National Core Standards, Batho-Pele Principles, and Patients’ Rights Charter.
