Minimum Requirements
Education: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or N3 with two languages passed
Experience: Prior mining exposure advantageous
Other:
Medically fit (risk-based medical exam)
Must pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test
Willingness to undergo technical training prescribed by MQA & DMRE
Ability to communicate proficiently in English
Host Community Requirements
Applicants must either:
Be a resident of Bekkersdaal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein, or Jachtfontein, OR
Have passed Grade 12/Matric at a school situated within one of these host communities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Operate winding engines safely and efficiently
Assist with shaft operations under supervision
Apply safe work practices according to mine standards
Identify and report hazards and risks
Participate in risk assessments before work is carried out
Maintain housekeeping in workshops and work areas

Ability to maintain consistent performance during evaluations
