Position Purpose

The Maintenance Technician ensures that Coca‑Cola’s production equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The role involves mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement in plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative maintenance on bottling lines, conveyors, pumps, and motors

  • Corrective maintenance and repairs on mechanical/electrical systems

  • Conduct inspections and condition monitoring of production equipment

  • Support installation, removal, and replacement of mechanical/electrical components

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, defects, and parts usage

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies

  • Participate in training and development programmes

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths and Science OR N3/N4 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

  • Experience: 2–3 years in maintenance technician role (manufacturing/production environment)

  • Skills:

    • Mechanical and electrical knowledge

    • Ability to use hand tools and testing instruments

    • Computer literacy (SAP or similar systems)

    • Communication and teamwork abilities

  • Other: Valid driver’s licence advantageous
