Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • One of the following qualifications: 

Option 1: N6 Mechanical Engineering

  • Mathematics
  • Mechanotechnics
  • Mechanical Drawing and Design
  • Power Machines
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Physics
  • Strength of Materials
  • Supervisory Management 

Option 2: N2 or N3 Engineering Studies

  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Engineering Drawing
  • Diesel Trade Theory or Motor Trade Theory 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with workshop operations
  • Support engine and power generator repairs
  • Help with inspections, assembly and disassembly of components
  • Complete job cards, timesheets and technical documentation
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Support diagnostics and troubleshooting activities
  • Follow health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Participate in technical training programmes

Driver's Licence Requirement
