Overview
Tiger Brands is looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical equipment within its production and mill environment. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, fault-finding, breakdown repairs, inspections, and electrical installations to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Approximately 4 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and maintenance practices
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs on production equipment
- Respond to and resolve electrical breakdowns
- Conduct electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting
- Carry out preventative maintenance activities
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment for defects and safety risks
- Complete maintenance job cards and reports
- Prepare stores requisitions for electrical parts and materials
- Assist with electrical installations, repairs, and modifications
- Support production teams during equipment start-ups and changeovers
- Maintain compliance with safety and lockout procedures
