Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Technical Subjects or NQF Level 4
- Minimum 6 months' experience in a general workshop or technical environment
- Basic knowledge of workshop tools and equipment
- Basic understanding of machine repairs and maintenance
- Knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Code 08 Driver's Licence is advantageous
- Willingness to work overtime, standby, and travel when required
Advantageous Experience
- Exposure to mining or construction equipment
- Experience with heavy earthmoving machinery
- Basic mechanical maintenance experience
- Machine assembly and disassembly experience
- Basic rigging and slinging knowledge
- Familiarity with workshop tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Assist artisans with maintenance and repair activities
- Support machine and component assembly and disassembly
- Perform machine, component, and workshop cleaning
- Assist with basic inspections, lubrication, and servicing
- Maintain workshop housekeeping and 5S standards
- Use workshop tools and equipment safely
- Provide basic diagnostic support under supervision
- Follow Komatsu safety procedures and workplace standards
