ER24 is seeking a Basic Ambulance Assistant to join their team at the Cape Town International Airport site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to site-based emergency calls and providing medical care within their scope of practice.

Key responsibilities include:

– Ensuring operational readiness for emergency calls
– Administering patient care in line with the scope of practice
– Providing professional emergency services to site-based clients

To be considered, applicants must have:

– A Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate (essential)

– 6 months to 1 year of road BLS experience (essential)
– Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
– Knowledge of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
– Familiarity with the EMS environment and best practices

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

– Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa
– 2 years of road BLS experience

Applicants must be willing to undergo a physical fitness and medical assessment as part of the hiring process.
