Mediclinic Victoria, located in Tongaat, South Africa, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join their team. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting nursing

unit staff in delivering safe and quality patient care that meets the healthcare needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

– Support and assist nursing unit staff in the delivery of quality patient care within a team approach
– Identify and report risks in line with hospital policies

– Contribute to a positive patient experience through assisting the nursing unit staff
– Provide administrative support to the nursing unit staff as specified
– Contribute to a learning environment that builds staff competence by participating in continuous personal development
– Ensure that required stock is utilized efficiently and accurately charged

Requirements:

– Essential Education: An appropriate qualification as a Care Worker
– Desired Education: Grade 12

– Essential Experience: Experience in a healthcare environment
– Desired Experience: None
– Required Job Skills and Knowledge:
– Understanding of stock control principles
– Reporting and documenting events/tasks
– Knowledge of Medico-legal risks
– Knowledge of administrative tasks
– Understanding of patient experience aspects
– Understanding of patient care principles
– Application of infection prevention and control principles
