📍 Job Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in nursing (Basic R425 qualification) or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

  • Appropriate experience in a psychiatric setting is an added advantage.

🧑‍⚕️ Duties / Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic mental health nursing care in a psychiatric unit.

  • Understand and apply relevant procedures and legal frameworks (including Mental Health Care Act).

  • Act as shift leader when required.

  • Work night duties and on public holidays as needed.

  • Maintain professional growth and uphold ethical standards.

  • Support and participate in hospital committees and implement Batho Pele principles. (jobs.gauteng.gov.za)
