Minimum Requirements
Completed National Diploma, BTech, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Studies, Mechatronics, or a related technical/commerce field.
Little to no formal work experience (specifically targeting recent graduates looking to enter the green energy sector).
Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic exposure to engineering design software or data analysis tools.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and structural problem-solving abilities.
Proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.
South African citizen with a valid Identity Document (ID).
Key Responsibilities & Learning Exposure
Assisting engineering and operations teams with the monitoring, reporting, and optimization of utility-scale solar PV (photovoltaic) and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Supporting project managers in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), plant performance data, and asset maintenance schedules.
Participating in site inspections, data logging, and technical root-cause analysis for any operational disruptions or equipment inefficiencies.
Assisting with structural engineering documentation, compliance logs, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) reporting on renewable energy sites.
Collaborative interaction with local and international cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery and operational excellence.
