Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will perform planned, preventative and emergency maintenance on air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and water reticulation systems. Responsibilities include fault finding, repairs, installations, commissioning, inspections, and ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission air conditioning and water reticulation equipment.
- Conduct planned and preventative maintenance.
- Respond to breakdowns and perform fault diagnosis.
- Inspect equipment and facilities for defects and risks.
- Perform corrective maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain maintenance records and reports.
- Provide feedback to supervisors and clients.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- N3 to N6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Recognized HVAC, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Trade Test.
- Minimum 5 years relevant artisan experience.
- Experience with refrigeration, ventilation and water reticulation systems.
- Experience with digital control systems.
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- Intermediate MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
