Electrical Assistant (X6) – FullServe

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10, Engineering Studies N1, or NQF Level 2
- Grade 11, Electrical Engineering N2, or NQF Level 3 will be advantageous
- Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical work, construction, maintenance, or a related field
- Valid Code 10 (C1) or Code 14 (EC) Driver's Licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Valid Police Clearance Certificate
- Relevant electrical, construction, safety, or technical training is advantageous 1
Key Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with electrical installations, maintenance, repairs, and servicing
- Support work on wiring, lighting, distribution boards, transformers, substations, streetlights, and traffic signals
- Assist with inspections, testing, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance
- Handle tools, equipment, materials, and asset control
- Assist with vehicle inspections, transportation of materials, and site logistics
- Follow occupational health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Support traffic management and site safety measures where required
- Complete site reports, job cards, and maintenance records
Skills Needed
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and installations
- Understanding of electrical safety principles
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings and diagrams
- Good problem-solving and fault-identification skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors and travel between sites when required
