Minimum Requirements
- Technical Senior Certificate or equivalent technical qualification
- N3 qualification will be advantageous
- Mechanical or Electrical qualification/training is advantageous
- 2 to 3 years' practical maintenance experience
- Experience in manufacturing, production, food processing, or industrial environments preferred
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and workplace safety requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Maintenance Artisans with mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment
- Support planned and preventative maintenance activities
- Assist with breakdown repairs and fault-finding
- Help maintain water systems, plumbing, and building infrastructure
- Keep maintenance records and job cards updated
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and tool control
- Follow food safety, GMP, and health & safety standards
Skills Needed
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Basic fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and quality
- Time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
